Connecting the dots: Our community-based food system Wednesday, March 04, 2015 Since 2012, over 200 low income Home Garden participants and their families have learned to grow and enjoy their own healthy, organic vegetables. Last year we have enhanced the home gardening component with the Deep Roots component, where we have started to train gardeners out of each gardening cohort to become organic gardening mentors who manage a caseload of four new gardeners.
